This is the complete Guitar Hero 3 track list with links to every master track page. Every song currently a part of Guitar Hero 3 will be listed here. Song titles which have been recorded and uploaded will be linked to the related master track page. Each song is broken down into its related Guitar Hero difficulty tier making it easy for you to find the track you are looking for. Every master track recording is recorded directly from the game with no effects or background noise (including no star power sound altering and whammy effects). All tracks are provided in 128kbps CD Quality MP3 format.

Quick Game Info:

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is a music video game developed by Neversoft published by Activision and RedOctane. It is the third full installment in the Guitar Hero series, and the fourth title overall. Guitar Hero III retains the same gameplay as the other games in the series. The player, using a special guitar-shaped controller, attempts to play songs of varying genres of rock music by playing notes as they scroll in-time with the music on-screen. Guitar Hero III was first released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 2 version developed through Budcat Creations and the Wii version through Vicarious Visions. Aspyr Media assisted in porting the game to the PC, and Mac platforms in late 2007. Due to the acquisition of RedOctane by Activision, Harmonix Music Systems is no longer involved in developing titles in the Guitar Hero series; instead, they developed the competing Rock Band.

Quick Mastertrack Info:

Guitar Hero master tracks are the separate audio clips featured in the game. The guitar track is the audio clip that will play as you play the notes shown on the screen and stop when you miss them. The band track is the consistent audio clip played throughout the song and only stopped when the song is finished or you fail. The band track consists of any vocals, drums, piano, midi synth, etc that is also part of the current song. The band audio track may also include some guitar audio depending on the mix. The crowed clips are crowd audio played during a song.

Recording Method:

All Guitar Hero master tracks that are available to download were recorded via a high quality stereo TOSLINK connection, not standard RCA. This will give the 128kbps MP3's maximum quality that is comparable with most ripped CD audio. The guitar tracks were recorded by turning the band and sound effect volume levels off and playing the game on easy mode. Easy mode allowed you to make the fewest mistakes if any, giving you a complete and unbroken recording as the audio stops if you miss a note in Guitar Hero. When recording the band track the guitar audio level was left at 10, but the band was turned back up to 10. The song was then replayed with no-fail turned on and no notes being hit by the player. Crowed audio was recorded by turning both the guitar and band audio off and playing the game as normal. Doing this causes the crowed to become "pleased" and "scream and shout" providing the best audio for recording. The crowed audio in the game is dynamic and therefore different for each song and depends on the players performance. Not every song will have a separate crowed track. 5 Songs have been chosen to record crowed tracks. Users may edit them as necessary to fir their own needs.

Note: When recording one minor note miss was allowed. As long as the audio track was only stopped for no more than half a second we will keep it as is. Therefore you may encounter a small minor hiccup with some recordings. Also, some audio tracks have hiccups in the game itself not due to a note miss in Guitar Hero. Therefore we have no way of correcting such hiccups in the audio.
