Guitar
Hero III: Legends of Rock is a music video game developed by Neversoft
published by Activision and RedOctane. It is the third full installment
in the Guitar Hero series, and the fourth title overall. Guitar Hero
III retains the same gameplay as the other games in the series. The
player, using a special guitar-shaped controller, attempts to play
songs of varying genres of rock music by playing notes as they scroll
in-time with the music on-screen. Guitar Hero III was first released
for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 2 version
developed through Budcat Creations and the Wii version through
Vicarious Visions. Aspyr Media assisted in porting the game to the PC,
and Mac platforms in late 2007. Due to the acquisition of RedOctane by
Activision, Harmonix Music Systems is no longer involved in developing
titles in the Guitar Hero series; instead, they developed the competing
Rock Band.

Got requests to show what the downloadable tracks are like. So here they are.
I
haven't played GH in months as I don't play anymore. I make stupid
mistakes I never would have made before. But oh well, still a good
video and its just to show the note charts anyways.
The track
pack consists of 3 songs, Any Way You Want It, Jukebox Hero, and Piece
of Mind. It costs 500 MS Points to download. The songs are fun to play
and not too difficult even for average players. If you like classic
rock this is definitely something I would suggest buying if you were
thinking of purchasing any of the track packs. Any Way You Want It and
Piece of Mind are 2 songs I enjoy more than most of the other ones.
Simply put, they are fun to play and aren't too easy or hard.
I
also noticed this is one of the better selling track packs. So if you
play people online there is a good chance you will be able to use these
songs in your match. This is a plus as you aren't limited to using them
in single player. Not many people have some of the other track
downloads (such as the singles).
